Projects

Hats for Kids - We are knitting and crocheting hats for kids. Purple hats are donated to Children's Hospital in Seattle and other hats are donated to needy families.  

Food Bank Donations - Members donate food and clothing to local food banks.

Schools - We donate books to schools and libraries. We made "wash cloth bunnies" that we made and donated books to a school in Selah, WA.  

ESO - is a reading group that members can join.  Members keep track of the books they read and turn in a report.

GFWC-Washington State and GFWC- Members attend conventions and hold a GFWC Apple Blossom meeting at these meetings. Conventions offer speakers and leadership training. 

Knitted "Knockers" - Members made knitted knockers for women that have had mastectomies.  Knitted Knockers are special handmade breast prosthesis for women who have undergone mastectomies or other procedures to the breast. Traditional breast prosthetics are usually expensive, heavy, sweaty and uncomfortable. 

"Bread Tags for Chairs" - We are collecting plastic bread tags to raise money for wheelchairs for kids, "Danielle Cares for Chairs"


Pop Tabs - Members collect pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House.

Scholarship for Girls - We are looking for high school senior girls planning to attend a college in Washington State or girls continuing their education in college in Washington State. More information will be coming in the fall.
